The food is a symbolic element of love, is one of the tools used by mothers to express gratitude and affection to her loved people. A day like today is Mother's Day in Costa Rica and usually the restaurants are filled is a special day and most of the times the family get together and share.
The access of women to work nowadays has made it harder for mothers at least enjoy the meal with her children that is why in a celebration like today my mother take advantage to share with my siblings and I.
